JUST TO LET YOU KNOW…. As a kid, I always looked forward to the enormous newspaper my Dad would bring home along with the coffee and hard buttered rolls from 7-11 on Sunday mornings.
As a kid, I didn’t drink the coffee and I didn’t read the whole enormous newspaper but I did eat the hard buttered rolls and I sure did hold my own while fighting my brother for first dibs on the Sunday Comics section!
The Peanuts gang, written by Charles Schulz was my favorite strip but I also loved reading Cathy, Calvin and Hobbes, Doonesbury, Garfield and of course, The Far Side!
As I’ve gotten older and more unpolished, my love for comics and all things funny has grown exponentially.
Earlier today one of my readers sent me something that made me laugh. While it wasn’t published in the Sunday funnies section of the local paper, it was in fact published in the September 2015 issue of Esquire magazine.
I found it to be unpolishedly funny and so naturally, it made me laugh!
