I’VE RAN MANY A RACES BUT THIS LOCATION IS BEYOND PATHETIC
OVER THE FLORIDA TURNPIKE? C’MON! THAT’S HARDLY ENERGETIC!
AND HOW CAN I SAY THIS WHILE STILL BEING POLITICALLY CORRECT?
NOT THE SAFEST OF NEIGHBORHOODS…WITH ALL DUE RESPECT.
HUFFING AND PUFFING IN THE SWELTERING HEAT
I CROSSED THE FINISH, BUT MY GOAL I DID NOT MEET.
THOUGH I SET A NEW PERSONAL RECORD. ONLY IT WAS IN THE WRONG DIRECTION
MY SLOWEST TIME YET. HOW’S THAT FOR PERFECTION?
MY PACE SUCKED AND THE COURSE WAS BORING AS HELL
BUT IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD, SO I’LL TRY NOT TO DWELL.
IF I’M BEING COMPLETELY HONEST, I SHOULD CONFESS
THIS RACE LEFT ME FEELING LIKE A SWEATY, HOT MESS!
HOWEVER, I HAD SOME SURPRISES OVER THIS HALF MARATHON RUN
AND I ENDED UP HAVING UNEXPECTED FUN.
I MET SOME WILD AND CRAZY PEOPLE ALONG THE ROUTE WAY
