Dear Silver Unpolished;

Where are you? I miss reading your blogs.

Signed,

A Loyal Reader

Dear Silver Unpolished;

I haven’t seen you posting in a while? Are you taking the summer off?

Signed,

Missing the Unpolishedness

Dear Silver Unpolished;

What happened? I used to look forward to your blogs and the stuff you would post on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. You always make me laugh or cry depending on what you’re writing about. I miss reading your entries. I hope there will be a new blog soon.

Signed,

I’ve Been Following You From Day One

Dear Silver Unpolished;

Are you still selling tank tops? I read your blog all the time and my daughter wants to take mine on her teen tour this summer. It’s my favorite and I won’t let her have it until I get a new one!  Let me know.

Thanks,

Wearing My Unpolishedness All The Time

Dear Silver Unpolished;

I just checked your website. What? No blogs about camp?

Signed,

WTF?

Dear Silver Unpolished;

One of my friends just sent her son away to sleep-away for the first time this summer. I told her she had to read the funny stuff you wrote when you sent your son. Can you repost all the camp ones? I know she will relate. Did your kids go back this summer? Are you going to write more if they did? How about a Visiting Day post?

Signed,

I’m An Unpolished Camp Mom Too

Dear Unpolished Posse;

I can’t post every email, but rest assured I’ve received and read all of them and I LOVE hearing from my unpolished posse! I’ve gotten back to most of you via personal reply and for those I have yet to answer, I promise to do so as quickly as possible.

So yes, I’ve been a little stealth; kinda flying under the radar and laying low, so to speak. It’s not because I don’t want to blog. Believe you me, I do. And I miss it, a lot; but I’ve gotten tied up with a zillion other things.

Uh-huh. The kids finally made it off to camp after wrapping up the school year but not before a last hurrah of travel basketball tournaments, reading tutors, goodbye parties, goodbye again parties, haircuts, sneaker shopping, incessant eating, American Ninja Warrior watching and three solid weeks of having to listen to  them ask, “What are we doing today? What are we doing today? What are we doing today? What are we doing today? What are we doing today? What are we doing today?

WHAT ARE WE DOING TODAY?”

The sum of the same question asked six-hundred times daily multiplied by the twenty-one days between school and camp equals the approximate number of times I heard them whine.

Nope. I don’t miss them the moaning and groaning!

If you recall a few months back, I wrote about the challenges of jumping back into the workplace after many years being a stay-at-home Mom . Since that post titled, Un-pausing The Pause Button I did indeed find a part-time job which for the last several months has kept me quite busy and now I have started a new full-time gig!

In lieu of setting alarms to get the bus on time and packing lunch for the kids, I’ve begun setting alarms for myself and fixing my own brown-bag-it meals.

I’ve also been doing some more freelance writing. I wrote a cool piece for The Parklander magazine about classic cars. It was a topic I knew little about but had a blast interviewing some real car enthusiasts and learning about their passion. If you’re interested in reading the two-page spread, and you missed the June 2016 print publication, you can view the on-line PDF edition by clicking THIS LINK and scrolling to pages 60 & 61.

My time, inter alia, has been spread so thin I’ve barely had a chance to catch up on my Netflix and AmazonPrime addictions. It took forever, but I’m happy to report I have finished the second season of Bloodline, the fourth season of Orange Is The New Black and the current season of Catastrophe. If anyone wants to discuss, I’m always up for a great recap sesh. I’m still not caught up on Game of Thrones though with Ray Donovan back in action I’m not sure which show gets priority. Thoughts?

Oh, remember my amazing facialist, Estrella Shuster?

I wrote about Estrella, owner of Stars SkinCare Med Spa a while back. Well, there’s a new star in town named Maria Rianna who recently joined the Med Spa team and she’s unpolishedly FABULOUS! Maria moved to South Florida with her husband and 3 year old daughter after working many years in New York City for both plastic surgeons and dermatologists. As a licensed specialist in lasers, aesthetics, and endermologie, Maria brings her expertise to the table, literally! Last week I was lucky enough to experience her magic hands on my face and her touch is totally worth a detailed report. Stay tuned for an upcoming NEW blog post dedicated entirely to AmazingMaria titled,

NOBODY SOLVES A PROBLEM LIKE MARIA

But for now folks, that’s all she wrote. By she, I mean me.

It feels great to be on the blog again and I have every intention of getting back to my regularly scheduled posts as soon as possible. As always, thanks for your continued support; without it, I’d be even more unpolished than I already am!

Happy Fourth of July weekend.

Ciao for now!
